2 Downholme is set in the Yorkshire Dales village of Downholme.  Within its own garden and adjacent small croft. Downholme is a small village and civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire. It is situated approximately 4 miles west from the market town of Richmond .  The village of Downholme has a fascinating history that dates back at least 2,000 years and has remained  wholly unspoiled due to its history with Caterrick Garrison. With only  about 18 houses and farm cottages in the village most of the homes have changed little being that they were military owned up to the late  2000. Downholme Church dates back to the late 12th century and far older than any other building in the village. The village benefits from a lovely Pub the Bolton Arms, which is rumoured to be the last pub owned by the queen.
